I Am More Than Just A Concept - Dream Girl series

I filmed this artwork using Photo Booth. As it gave a sense of security and less tension, it gave more of a casual feel, which is what I wanted, which is like a one-on-one dinner vibe with the audience, however, the work is also meant to feel tense. Where I would constantly make eye contact with the audience. And not express much happiness. When I do smile, it is with a hint of sarcasm. I initially wanted text and blank screen text and just kept close captions of the work. However, I decided to scrape that and explore more. Material equality of videography. I got interested in how. Video feedback works. So an exploration I made was. Recording the video and then projecting it onto a TV and filming it with a handheld camera. And made her. Putting that footage onto a computer and then projecting it onto a TV again and then recording it. Like did this three, three times and I decided to use this for my finals. Because I got interested in how. The screen becomes bluer and bluer. And brighter because of the video feedback. I ended up finding it interesting how. The videos. How I kept zooming into the videos to showcase what were the important bits of what I found intriguing in each segment. And eventually, it starts to deface me. You can really see my face much anymore. You will only see my lips or figments of my body parts which end up. The. Humanizing me, in a sense. I found it interesting how I got dehumanized at the end of the whole thing and I only focused on it. The eating aspect, but when I get when I got back the footage it ended up just being a very bright light. Occasionally the close edge of clearance of lips that you can see what it is, but most of the time you can't really see what it was.

Though the work did stray away from the original footage of the constant glaring in the clearance of me eating a certain cake and that you can see it's my room, I think I found it interesting the progression that I had with the clearance that you can see this person to. You can't even see it. It's all close-ups of this. Image. That they no longer become a recognizable human, but just little areas. That people pick up on. Of people cherry-pick on. The work was also originally intended to be a four-channel work where I would project it on four different screens. However, I. Did not have enough time to set up, but I am also still satisfied with the outcome, so I still managed to put text in the background, which was what I liked about it. I purposely put it in blue because of how. The light was starting to be very blue as a more like. This screen of Death Blue and I want it to replicate a similar color for it when it came to the letters. To just show the intensity. The words in the background are just. Female Rage and. Understanding combined. At one point it. Two of the automatic writings were anger while one was understanding and anger and understanding and forgiving the other person. No longer was it about. The. Grudge, however. The. Is this demand for understanding and demand for validation of why? There was that anger in the first place and also the acknowledgment of the anger from the first place.
